2. Personal Data We Collect
Depending on how you use the website and the services enabled at the time of your visit, we may collect and process:
· first name and last name;
· email address and telephone number;
· billing and shipping address;
· order, purchase and return information;
· information necessary for invoicing and accounting;

When online purchasing is enabled, payment information is processed through the payment methods and payment service providers available at checkout. Complete payment-card details are generally processed directly by the relevant payment provider and are not stored by us.
3. Purposes and Legal Bases
We process personal data, as applicable, to respond to requests and take pre-contractual steps; process orders, payments, deliveries and returns; provide customer service; issue invoices and comply with tax/accounting obligations; protect and exercise legal rights; maintain website security; and send marketing communications where valid consent has been given.
The applicable legal basis may be performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, compliance with a legal obligation, legitimate interests where permitted and appropriately balanced, or consent.
4. Marketing Communications
When you choose to become a member through the dedicated membership form and provide your consent, we may use the contact details supplied in that form to send news, product information, launches, offers, promotions, events and other marketing or commercial communications.
The membership form currently requests a single explicit consent covering promotional communications by email and via electronic messaging services, including WhatsApp, SMS and RCS, at the contact details provided. The wording presented with the form explains these channels before the user clicks “Become a Member”. Marketing consent is voluntary and is not required to make a purchase.
You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe or opt-out method provided in the communication, where available, or by contacting info@hinthial.it. Withdrawal does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Website, E-commerce and Service Providers
The website is hosted using Squarespace, which provides website hosting, content management and, where enabled, e-commerce and related services. We may also use providers for payment processing, order fulfilment and delivery, email and marketing communications, CRM and messaging, analytics and advertising, and technical/security services.
These providers may process personal data on our behalf or, depending on their role, as independent data controllers. The providers actually used at launch should be reflected in this Policy.
6. WAX, Meta and Other Marketing Technologies
We may introduce customer relationship and messaging services, including WAX, and advertising or measurement technologies provided by Meta, including the Meta Pixel. These services must not be described as active until they are actually enabled.
Where consent is required by applicable law, non-essential marketing, advertising or profiling technologies will be activated only after the required consent has been obtained. When these services are enabled, this Policy and the Cookie Policy must be updated with the actual provider details, purposes, transfers and retention information.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary technologies may be used where permitted without consent. Non-essential analytics, advertising, profiling or similar technologies requiring consent will be used only after the required consent. See the Cookie Policy and Cookie Preferences tool for more information.
8. International Data Transfers
Some service providers may process personal data outside Italy or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers will rely on an adequacy decision or another lawful transfer mechanism and appropriate safeguards under applicable data-protection law.
9. Data Retention
Personal data is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose and applicable legal requirements. Order, invoice and transaction records may be retained for statutory tax/accounting periods. Marketing data is generally retained until consent is withdrawn or the data is no longer necessary for the marketing purpose, subject to periodic review. Customer-service communications may be retained for the time reasonably necessary to manage the request and protect legal rights.
10. Your Rights
Subject to the conditions provided by applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify or erase your personal data; restrict or object to processing; receive data portability where applicable; withdraw consent at any time; and lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. In Italy, the supervisory authority is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
To exercise your rights or ask questions, contact info@hinthial.it.
11. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the website, e-commerce activities, service providers, technologies or legal requirements. The latest update date will appear at the top.
